If you get my sticky stank goodness from Google Podcasts, be warned them muthas are shutting down in 2024.
The Google-branded replacement is YouTube Music. Right now, YouTube Music allows you to "watch and listen to podcasts on YouTube Music in the US, without requiring a paid membership."
An interesting data point in the YouTube blog post I linked above is that:
...according to Edison, about 23% of weekly podcast users in the US say YouTube is their most frequently used service, versus just 4% for Google Podcasts.
So if you listen to me via Google Podcasts, prep to shift thine allegiance to YouTube, or to other podcast sources. Here are the two dominant bosses in the podcast brawl:
