For Army Reserve Soldier Michael Cross, the world as he knew it ended in an instant. One minute, he’s in college, and in the next, rioters are roaming the highway around him, breaking into cars, and literally tearing people apart. This is the day the dead walk. This is the world of We’re Alive.

I’ll have to re-listen (can’t right now), but I think you might have half-outed The Shiv – you mention a J-name when discussing editors.

@GreyFox: Yes, the GFL books are somewhat easier to right than the modern-day thrillers. With the GFL books, I don’t have to be quite as detailed/accurate with science, the government and military topics. Those things take not only an enormous amount of research, but also require careful tracking of what plot point connects to what. If I change the science in an early chapter to be more accurate, for example, I can unwittingly break continuity for for or five small elements later in the book. It’s a big job to keep it all straight.

I always love how you give details on where your at with a book and the steps you go through. Quick question are the gfl books easier to write then books like infect, contagious and pandemic?
