If you’re a 80s or 90s kid, and a football fan, then boom, you knew (and probably loved) John Madden.
The legendary coach, broadcaster and entrepreneur passed away on December 28, 2021 at the age of 85. H […]

Honestly I think the screw up is great! Gives the book more character and ultimately its the great characters and stories that you give us that are important. Thank you for giving all of us junkies another great escape from our everyday lives!

Margaret Atwood’s cover-endorsement: “Electrifying! Shocking!”
30 points to Margaret Atwood.

I really liked ALIENS: PHALANX, which is something because it managed to do what no other Aliens book has; tell an original story that doesn’t reset everything back to zero at the end.
“Oh another book about Ripley showing up on some moon/ship/space station that has an unexpected xenomorph infestation, set between movies x and y… guess we’ll have to erase her memory/make her sleep through the whole thing so that it doesn’t mess with the timeline.”
It’s why I almost never read franchise books for any series based on a movie.
But if you can pull off what you did with ALIENS: PHALANX with Predator, I’m totally in!
On a side note, if Disney makes a new Alien series and doesn’t at at least consider the Phalanx world to set it in, they’re bigger idiots than anyone might expect.-
scottsigler replied 12 months ago
Andy: I got you covered. Both of my PREDATOR stories do not require the weak-willed slop of amnesia, memory erasing, time travel, or cloning a single cell and making a lead character who — somehow — has all the memories of her predecessor.

It’s great to see your short stuff but what about a book? Heard tell of a TV show many years ago. What’s up with that? Adult content re-written into old books demeans your ability as a writer; I realize that it takes time and imagination to complete a book but I do not see a hint of another book any time soon. What’s up?
You don’t see a hint of a new book? I talk about SHAKEDOWN constantly on the podcast, the newsletter, on social media, and on our weekly livestream — all of which are free.
