It turned out to be an actual feather the kid had ingested. It became lodged in his throat, and that’s how his body decided to get rid of it.
Um, I think some, strange strand of fungus.
Sheesh! That poor bird/human! I mean, that poor kid!
Just saw this story about a feather emerging from the side of a baby’s neck, which made me think how cool flying triangles would be.
