THE REPORTER Q&A Episode

THE REPORTER podcast is complete! If you’re the kind to wait until you can binge listen, it’s time for you to get on it.

We didn’t have a ton of questions this time out, but we soldiered on and answered them regardless. We had three questions that came in after we recorded (including two audio questions, dangit). We weren’t able to get them into the episode as Scott is working hard on ALONE, Book III of the Generations Trilogy.

THE REPORTER Episode #11

Yolanda’s search for the killer of Grace McDermot finally comes to fruition. She’s found a store near the building where McDermot was killed, a store that has security cameras monitoring the exit of that building. If those records are intact, Yolanda will have with incontrovertible evidence of who left the building right after McDermot died — and that will give her the killer.

Yolanda, Whykor and Miriam narrowly escaped the Black Hole stadium, thanks to an assist from Tarat the Smasher. But that help doesn’t put them in the clear. Madderch’s deadliest cop — Parmot the Insane — was following Yolanda. Is Parmot behind the killing of Grace McDermot, for which Krakens running back Ju Tweedy is blamed? And if so, what is Parmot willing to do to keep Yolanda from getting proof?

THE REPORTER Episode #9

Yolanda, Whykor and Miriam narrowly escaped an assassination attempt, and all it took was running out onto the middle of the field during a game between the To Pirates and the OS1 Orbiting death while thousands of fans in the stands and billions watching across the galaxy looked on. But now the trio find themselves on the mean streets of Madderch while they’re still the target of at least one crime lord. Where can they possibly go to find safety?

THE REPORTER Episode #8

One moment, Yolanda is in a luxury booth at OS1 Stadium, watching the Death play the To Pirates. The next, she, Miram, Whykor and booth staffer Puck are under attack from Turon the Ugly and Marik the Covetous. Yolanda and her friends barely escaped and are in an elevator, heading down to the stadium’s main level. Yolanda knows that if they are to escape the stadium alive, she needs a distraction.

THE REPORTER Episode #7

After interviewing Ma Tweedy — mother of Ju Tweedy, the man accused of the murder of Grace McDermot — Yolanda increasingly questions the official story of the Madderch police. Yolanda also thinks her friend Miriam — McDermot’s bodyguard when McDermot was murdered — is holding back information. Yolanda and Whykor have arranged to meet Miriam at the game between the OS1 Orbiting Death and the To Pirates, played on the home field of the Death, that facility famously known as “The Black Hole.” On the field, it’s Condor Adrian vs. Frank Zimmer, and off the field, it’s Yolanda Davenport vs. this damn story.

THE REPORTER Episode #6

Previously on … THE REPORTER. Yolanda and Whykor’s near-death experience had a somewhat happy ending. Thanks to the efforts of Doc Izzy, they both survived the wounds suffered in their crawler encounter. But, that does mean Yolanda owes Tarat the Smasher yet another favor, for it was Tarat that sent her to Doc Izzy. After recovering, yolanda was surprised to learn that Ju Tweedy’s mother — the delightful, tiny Human known to many as “Ma Tweedy” — was still on Madderch. Yolanda and Whykor the Aware are on their way to interview her. And now, Episode number six of … the reporter.

THE REPORTER Episode #2

Star reporter Yolanda Davenport has been tasked by GFL Commissioner Rob Froese to get the real story behind the murder of Grace McDermot. Krakens runningback Ju Tweedy was accused of that murder, an event that almost got him killed by Orbiting Death owner and crimelord Anna Villani, and led to Ju joining the Ionath Krakens. In just her first few hours on the case, Yolanda has already been threatened by Quyth Warrior Marik the Covetous, who may be connected to Krakens owner Gredok the Splithead. Why would Gredok get in the way of finding out the truth about McDermot’s murder, and Ju’s possible guilt?
