First look! ROOKIE and STARTER paperback covers!

THE ROOKIE paperback cover THE STARTER paperback cover
Cover design by Scott E. Pond. Figures by Adrian Bogart.

With everything else we’ve got going on over here, we’re still working hard in the background on getting the paperbacks ready for print. Newly edited manuscripts are in the expert hands of the Diva of Design as we speak, and I present the covers for your perusal here. Enjoy!

Both books publish August 7, 2012, and are available for pre-order now.

About The Author

Unfortunately not a fan of these covers in the least. Huge fan of the GFL series, well written and a fast pace full of action and quirkiness that is uniquely refreshing from today’s authors. However, these covers make the GFL universe look like a children’s cartoon rather than the high stake, crime filled, ruthless universe I picture when reading. Marketing these books to teenagers (12-15) may be logical when appealing to the masses from a publishing perspective, but does little for this junkie….(I will only speak for myself). Nevertheless, I will be purchasing them for my collection.

Haha, “young adult fiction.” Please, the GFL series is just as engaging as any of Scott’s “adult” fiction. I have this image in my head of the FDO strutting down the street shouting “J.K. Rowling ain’t got S#!T on me!” 🙂

Oh, and for those of you who like Adrian’s characters, do check out his website.  There may or may not* be a sweet, sweet Korak the Cutter at Image 098.

    *Disclaimer:  There totally is.

Oh High One, these are going to get pre-ordered like a virginal teen bride at a Purist Nation Elder Retreat! #SorryMasarra #SorryFolksAtHome

Thanks Bells. I L-O-V-E Adrian’s character work… Fantastic! What do you mean by larger versions? Picts of the covers?

He’s my cousin (my dad’s brother’s son). We went a good many years out of contact but finally met back up last year during my dad’s illness. He was always one of my favorite relatives and it’s great that we’re back in touch again. Hoping to convert him to Siglerism soon. 😉

Pondy, these are fantastic! You and Adrian did an awesome job!! I only wish there were larger versions of them.
