   Reply from Amazon

   I received a reply from Amazon about the f’d up form.  They apologized and gave me a $10 credit on my account!  Irritated I couldn’t win (would have loved to have the books), but I’ll take what I can get.

   Just voted, but…

   I just voted, but it may not be counted since the the contest ended yesterday.  I did try to enter before today, but I had the same issue as others with the erroneous “ENTER YOUR NAME, YOU STUPID #$q!@#$@#$ IDIOT” message.  Had to use my email address as my name.  I did email them to kindly let them know how f’d up their form was: maybe they’ll let my vote slide in.  We’ll see.

   Since I have an amazon account it automatically put my email address in the name field and didn’t like it when I removed it, so I put it back.  Here’s hoping for The Rookie!

    Name Problem

    Either it doesn’t like my name either or you need to use your email address in both fields. That is how I managed to vote.

    Voted and name prob solved

    Don’t have an account as I’m in the UK (the accounts aren’t global) Entered my name with no spaces and made it look like an email addy. So name@1.o and it worked fine. Might help some others. Epic code fail!

    The contest is to win 10 YA books, but in order to register a person must be an adult . . . Sure, sure, someone can register for a young adult, but it just seems a little bassakwards to me. Vote cast for the greatest sci-fi mashup ever written.

     

    I lied. Amazon won’t let me cast a vote. It says I don’t have a name repeatedly. May just have to try again later.

    Did someone help?

    My NAME field was auto-populated with the e-mail address I use for amazon. Try your amazon account’s e-mail address? It worked when I erased my name and put my e-mail address back in there. Ignore me if this is redundant. X

    I had the same problem.

    If you have an account, log in first.  It automatically entered my email address in the name field and that worked for me.  If you don’t have an account, try putting your email address in both fields and see what happens.

    Problems with the voting

    I filled everything out correctly and when I clicked the summit button red lettering appeared under the *your name box* telling me to please fill in my name. Which I already did correctly in the first place (does everyone understand so far?) pretty much what im trying to say is it won’t except my vote.
