Mommy's first appearance was in Nocturnal Episode #18, although little could be seen of her. Her corpulent form became known in Nocturnal episode #19, when Hillary forced Aggie James to watch Mommy take The Mexican as her husband.

Hillary said that Mommy's real name was Marie Latrielle.

As an historical figure, Marie Latreille (Oliver) was married to notable 19th century entomologist Pierre Andre Latreille. Marie disappeared in 1787 when her ship was lost at sea.
