It wasn't so much Dresden being axed by SciFi

But it was what they replaced it with.  Do yourselves a favor, do not watch that dreck named "Flash Gordon"... Ming the Merciless is about as frightening as Mr February in the Hot Firemen calendar. 'Fearing' him is the wrong verb.
