Michigan in Ancestor

I really enjoyed the last episode of Ancestor with all of the Yooper characters and Michiganisms.  I grew up as a troll, but always enjoyed camping trips to Da U.P., including Copper Harbor.  I do have to admit I have never heard "dating Miss Michigan" used in any conversation as a teen or otherwise.  This is my first Sigler book, and and really enjoying it so far.  Looking forward to seeing what happens next.
