Angela, please accept my apologies

The other Junkies who made light of this situation should not have done so. This is a serious situation and a human being we are talking about. 

However, please place the blame on me and the culture we have here. It is light-hearted and not political. People here are used to having a free forum that is based in black humor, where we make fun of everything -- life and death included. That is not an excuse for insensitive comments about a tragic situation. On a site that is based in horror fiction, however, we can lose sight of the fact that real horror is waiting for us all, at all times, and is just around the corner.
