I'm all for free speech and rights...
... so long as the beer intake doesn't reach such a high level that it leads to violence. Or is that sort of behaviour not prevalent in America Football?
I know, in the UK, we had a few mindless thugs spoiling it for the true fans, leading to a ban on alcohol in the stands. There were other reasons for the gangs, violence and racist behaviour, not just alcohol I hasten to add, and the authorities worked hard to clamp down on what was happening. The minority always spoil it for the majority in all walks of life, and my opinion is that the alcohol made it easier for these thugs to riot etc.
Of course, that starts another line of thought where the government have tried to ban certain films, stimulants and anything else which might trigger violent behaviour - I am not of that opinion as I feel those people who commit such acts must have something 'missing' anyway. I watched violent films, have drank excessively 'way back in the day' (never taken drugs though, never even smoked a cigarette) and never felt compelled to run riot.
Anyway, I'm sure my American companions will enjoy themselves!
