Hang in there guys..you nice, decent folks/authors that actually give away free stories/books.  yippeeskippee.

Confession time...I've actually bought ONE e-book.  One.  And, sadly, didn't like it...and I'd expected to...   But...and here's the kicker..because it's an e-story...a computer file, a downloaded product...I can't give it to my local thrift store, or a friend or relative, like I've done most of my fairly long life with used paper books.  Also, I can't list it, to give away, at the two online used-book clubs I belong to...because it's not on a disc or a tape...it's just a pc file.   sigh.

So, while I'm not a reader of ebooks (mainly because I don't have nor can afford a e-reader)  ...  I fully support indie writers.  And will do what I can to buy paper books from these authors when/if they paper-publish.  I call it 'voting with your feet'...or in this case 'voting with your $'s'.

And, while I do buy used books thru amazon, I'll NEVER buy a Kindle, nor anything from Audible...for 'reasons'...many of which are listed above.

(perhaps one of these days I'll be gifted with an e-reader.  maybe...then I'll take a look at the free e-books/stories that seem to be increasingly available..)
