Scott, I want to say congratulations on the book deal, I'm happy for your success. As for the comments from the SFWA I agree with you. In publishing publicizing a book is left up to the author for the most part (with new authors). I think slamming someone for their successful methods is insane. I believe in beg, borrowing and stealing :); improve on the things others have done. I can only hope that my Podcast novel will lead to a publication deal. The other this is to consider that there are authors who are not looking for tradition publishing and are using Podcasting. They just don't like the idea that they no longer control the fate of publishing.
