Oh well. It was a sweet idea, though. I think a better viral add campaign would’ve been to do something like “Origen360″, Microsoft’s viral add campaign for the XBOX 360. You could’ve had a site who’s content was some random image unrelated to the actual podcast (for Origen it was a tree), and then a day or two after each episode came out, put up a very cryptic clue by some change to the image (for Origen, two rabbits moved around periodically at the base of the tree, the number of fruits increased, and at one point a message in Latin appeared on one of the roots). This clue could be about what character(s) is/are going to die in the next episode, so people would go crazy during the week trying to guess who it’d be from the clue. Then, the episode would come out, and people would be all over it. I think that’d be sweet.
