Loving it, Scott. Like the others, I assume that someone (either the lone survivor or a pack of hungry Ancestors) is going to escape across the ice bridge. Comment about Ancestor Biology: They have these crazy metabolisms so that they can grow so fast. I assume they’ve got enough protein right now by eating the cows and people. That said, the Ancestors should be a self-correcting problem within a week. (So long as they can’t escape on the ice bridge.) They’d have to turn on each other in a day or so, and the last one standing would starve to death soon after that. (At which point Pastie comes out of hiding and pees on the corpse…) I imagine they’re like shrews (which, according to Animal Planet, are as nasty as Ancestors, just not smart and the size of a mouse) in that they probably need to consume their body weight in food almost every day or so. Eventually, they’re going to starve. Of course, these guys are so smart, maybe they’ll build a raft…
