Hell, I didnt' expect that

Hell, I didnt' expect that much of a reaction from my clumsy first try at trolling. Thank you Scott Sigler, and rest assured that while I stand by what I said, I'll also admit that it was said quite crudely. All I'm really saying is that the cores of your first three stories - alien infection, gene splicing gone wrong, and aliens living on earth undetected - are not as original as you make them out to be. Sure, you go into weird directions afterwards, but the premise of the stories (and the characters for that matter) are very black and white, textbook even. Your plots are strong (even if they're not original) and entertaining. Your characters are , sadly, for the most part one-dimensional clichés, but still bearable. I'm not talking about The Rookie here beause it isn't finished and I'll suspend my judgement for now. I obviously got your blood boiling there for a minute, and I'll settle for that. English is my second language, which is why my first post - and this response as well - isn't as eloquent as I'd like it to be, nor do my major talking points really come through, as I find myself unable to adequately explain WHY I find your plots unoriginal. I'll stress it again - I enjoy your work, and I'll certainly keep on listening. Just don't try to sell yourself at a higher price than what you're worth. A powerful ego is a wonderful thing, I happen to call one of those my own as well, but don't lose sight of objective reality. And no, I'm not a trekkie and I find the whole humanoid alien thing bad as well. Just don't kid yourself into believing that you're the first author who ever wrote about truly alien aliens. Cheers, Kink Molière
