Oh and Scott, I've been trying to work out your evolutionary theory for the novel...the theory, while interesting, seems to attack currently accepted ideas on evolution without really discussing the multiple scales (such as the scale of changing landscapes and biogeochemical process in these landscapes and large numbers of individuals involved) on which evolution truly occurs. Just a thought, but an important point...maybe I'll need to listen to that episode again.
