I take part of that back...

"I'm off for 10 days to bang out 50,000 words on the SMOD™"   Would definately indicate that it's something that he's writing...  My guess is for Obsidian.  It fits the profile of all the other podcast superstars who make a deal of banging out the episode for the dreaded Hutchinnnssss...  The rest of it stands.
