A kid's version of The Rookie?
On the subject on doing a 'safe for kids' edition of The Rookie - you list 3 alternatives.
Well - one of'em just doesn't work: you can't seriously consider making just one version of The Rookie, which is also safe for kids to read?
You have a particular, very special style which I have'nt heard anyone get nowhere close to in the podcasting world (it's gooooood s...). It would be a betrayal to that style to redo some of your work to make it politically correct and safe for kids.
But I can't see the problem in doing an extra version, a kids version of The Rookie - not only would you extend your following of loyal jonesing junkies, it sounds like you even could do some serious good in the process.
(And when the kids get older, they'll want to listen to, buy and read all the rest of the fantastic gore-ridden, foulmouthed, ingenious, completely captivating product you spew out into an innocent and non-suspecting world soon to fall to your world reign).
No, seriously - I would not consider it selling out to do a kids version of The Rookie. The story is forbidden land for kids in its present adult version; but it could have a fantastic and positive impact for a lot of kids who otherwise have nothing but sissy-wizards and elves to read about.
Have a happy Thanksgiving - I'm out.
