The difference is that THE CRYPT takes place about 300 years before THE ROOKIE. At that point (which is, I think 400-450 years from today), all the races basically slaughter each other. "Peace" only came when the Creterakians conquered most of the known galaxy and established their laws. So you'll see other races in THE CRYPT, or should I say, you'll see their steaming corpses ...
