Clever...

I was wondering how Washington, DC was going to get annihilated in a believable fashion. Clever use of The Crypt world to make that happen.  I figured short of a war memorial style wall where the names would be listed, that it wouldn't be feasible but I like the twist and look forward to seeing how it all plays out.

Also, when I first got my copy of The Rookie, I perused the timeline but didn't actually read every line. I have since done that, and it was neat to see the connection between this story and a lot of details mentioned in the timeline.  I would encourage you junkies to read the timeline as if it were book that's just been bulleted out -- it's almost a story in itself and it answers a lot of questions I had about the initial formation of the GFL, the Purist Nation diaspora, how the Cretarakian domination went down in more detail, etc.
