The Damn Dirty Junkies have spoken. We needed a new title for INFECTION, and of the names posted in the above graphic, Junkies choose INFECTED as the new name. I, your humble servant (me, humble, now THAT is a laugh ...) am following your wise contributions.
You guys had some AMAZING name suggestions, many of which I've filed away for future novels. So in ten years, when I have taken over the world, if you see your title on a Sigler novel (assuming, of course, you haven't been cleansed by one of my takeover pogroms), you can throw me an email. Beers are on me.

That's right, Junkies - INFECTION has been optioned for a movie by Rogue Pictures, the same sweet cats that made SHAWN OF THE DEAD (although now it's known as INFESTED, the same title it will have when it comes out in hardcover in June, 2008). Unbelievable. You JUNKIES are the KING SHIT. The book has been up less than 24 hours, and it's the most subscribed book of the day. The only other chart measures subsriptions over the last 30 days, so we won't be #1 there for a few days.

Quentin finds out that Orbital Station Two, also known as "The Deuce," is not a happy, safe place like Ionath City. Quentin continues to get pressure from the To Pirates, even as he leads the Krakens (1-2) against the Sky Demolotion (0-3) in a must-win game.

This was so well-produced I had to throw it in the feed. This has nothing to do with THE ROOKIE, it's just a cool short story. If you've listened to EARTHCORE, ANCESTOR and INFECTION, you'll get all the inside references to this little gem.

I met P.G. Holyfield at Dragon*Con 2006 in Atlanta, GA. Perhaps I was drunk, but I don't remember this happening. However, it's pretty cool to be the bad guy instead of just writing about the bad guys.
