Sprechen Sie EARTHCORE?

German EARTHCORE coverGerman EARTHCORE coverFun stuff here, Junkies. Looks like ze German print version of EARTHCORE will be out in June, 2008, and in hardcover! I'm fired up. No, I don't know German, but I'm still fired up.

German publisher Otherworld Verlag snatched up EARTHCORE in January 2007. There was a lot of interest for other languages, and for translations of ANCESTOR, but the Death Star known as "Crown Publishing" swept in and destroyed all foreign sorties before we could close any more deals. Crown wants to dish out the forieign rights for everything, starting with a big focus on INFECTED (yeah, German rights for that puppy are already a done deal).

Interesting decision to sort of change the cover, instead of using the magical graphics of Kevin Capizzi. This is the world of "normal" publishing, which is to say I have never spoken a word to Verlag. They've made all the decisions and seem to be rolling along.

What? You speak German? Well hell, Junkie, CLICK HERE to go get yours.

The Junkies' choice:INFECTED

Junkie Poll III

The Damn Dirty Junkies have spoken. We needed a new title for INFECTION, and of the names posted in the above graphic, Junkies choose INFECTED as the new name. I, your humble servant (me, humble, now THAT is a laugh ...) am following your wise contributions. You guys had some AMAZING name suggestions, many of which I've filed away for future novels. So in ten years, when I have taken over the world, if you see your title on a Sigler novel (assuming, of course, you haven't been cleansed by one of my takeover pogroms), you can throw me an email. Beers are on me. Seriously, Junkies, we had 627 votes in less than 38 hours. Thank you for the fast response. If you're behind the times on this story, I left the original post and call the comments in place. Just click "more" to read all about it.

"Sacred Cow" becomes a vidcast movie

The guys at Stranger Things have flattered the hell out of me, and made their adaptation of my short story SACRED COW their debut vidcast episode. I haven't seen the whole thing, but the trailer is pretty kick-ass. Earl Newton and the Stranger Crew have me dying to see this baby! And I have to wait until MARCH 1! And he WON'T LET ME SEE IT BEFORE HAND!! Now I know how you Junkies feel, and, dammit, I don't like it!

Sigler vs. Sigler <br>fan video

Smegster combined the worlds of Scott Sigler and JC Hutchins (author of the podcast novel series "7th Son") in this exceptionally violent little piece of video. I don't fare well in this one, folks. WARNING: If you haven't heard 7th Son, you won't get this - but if you dream of seeing me get my ass kicked, please tune in! Hutch claims to have no involvement in this video, but I know he's behind this shit, goddamit - anyone out there who wants to make a video where Hutchins runs into trouble at the hands (and pliers) of Kayla Meyers or Magnus Paglione? Please let me know! Smegster is the man behind the Perry Dawsey Infection video.

Scott talks "Rookie" on Dragon Page

Dragon Page
This is one of my all-time favorite podcasts, and they were nice enough to give me an interview about THE ROOKE. Mike and Evo grill me about the book. I had a technical problem (gosh, who'd have thunk it ...) and the sound on my end is quite brutal. But hopefully you'll enjoy it.
