Glad to see it in ebook form now. Might buy the ebook version of The Rookie to go with The Starter (the one i hopefully will be getting for free here soon cause i have a print copy) so that i can have both books forever loaded up on my ereader.

Whats wrong with the Starter audio book zipped file? When I try to unzip it says I need to insert disk for multi volume wtf!!

STARTER Flash Drives
Anyone know when STARTER Flash Drives are supposed to ship? I bought the download too, but so far it's a total CF!

I humbly submit that it'd be great if backmybooks allowed resumable downloads. I realize that wouldn't solve the whole problem, but at least it'd prevent the issue where someone downloads, say, 750+MB of the 800+MB file, then has to start over.
Resumable downloads are not a new idea. It's been around for 10+ years so adding it shouldn't be too difficult--maybe they'd need to totally re-work how their back-end file delivery process works, but at this point, IMHO, that option should be on the table anyway.

I hear what you're saying, but I disagree. Making THE GFL series "YA" isn't selling out as much as it is siezing an opportunity to get young people reading. Let's face it, for a lot of the people I went to high school with, they would sooner shave their nuts with a rusty lawnmower blade than read about touchy-feely vamps or wizard kids.
I also have two nephews and two nices who I wouldn't let read any of my regular stuff. Too harsh. It's fun to write a book your fourth-grade nephew can read and geed out on.
There is nothing like THE GFL series out there that I have found. Nothing. Thanks to a chance encounter with some peeps at the Apple iTunes store, I took advantage of the opportunity and made it YA.
But you have discovered my new plan: to make NOCTURNAL a kid-friendly romp through the magical, candyland streets of San Francisco.

Scott's made it pretty clear that the GFL series is going to be a "gateway" series. Yes, *this* particular series of books will be written for adolescents. It will encourage them to read and get them hooked on Sigler crack. Both admirable objectives IMHO.
I don't see him backing off a bit in any of his other series. Have you? If not, let's hold off on the "next....." speculation until it actually happens. Judge the man by what he actually does, not by what you think he might do. Fair enough?
