As for the Genada Flash drive, I dont know if I could give that up. I do have many skill sets of my own that I would be willing to trade with. And no Im not speaking of sexual favors, as a well trained Geisha would not need any lessons in that department!

I've been kicking myself that I didn't buy a (softcover?) copy at Swancon, but now I'm really glad that I didn't!
Problems!
It just occurred to me that the book goes on sale on June 22. Scott will be in San Antonio of June 26th. If we pre-ordering a copy from Amazon, will we have it before the tour stop. My gut feeling is no. Does anyone know, if you pre-order through Borders, do they ship you the book or simply hold a book for you at the book store?

I have gotten my books on the date of release or the day after.
I don't know how Borders works.
the way I understand it, the bookstores and companies have the books in hand and are asked to hold them until the release date.
that is why some of the Harry Potter Books got out early.

Perhaps it's because of your location. Usually, new books come from Kansas to Houston and get shipped on the day of release. That takes at least 3-4 days to get here. At least that has been my experience with the other books I've ordered not only from Scott but other podcasters. I think TwoWire can back me up on that. In fact, Amazon has been known to ship early to APO addresses and the Harveys have received their books before me. I think I'll call Barnes & Noble and check on their shipping. Their price is the same as Amazon's and much cheaper than Borders. Hopefully I can pre-order and pick up the book at the book store. If not, I guess I'll get my book signed at another tour. It'll work out. :-)

I cant remember which book we were waiting on..but Amazons dist. center is north of where I live. Not more that an hours drive. Amazon has to come right by me to deliver to stores and even when they ship them it should be a fast delivery for me. If I remember right MuchAdo got her books a day or two before me!
I think I will try B&N also. They will release books early if the got them. I got JC's Dark Art books acouple days before the release dates.
But I guess I can also pick some up at the first 2 stops and hopefully my books will be in so I can get them signed in Denver...

from Barnes and Noble. I'll have to plan ahead to save money, in case I need to pick up a copy at Book Soup to have signed. On the plus side, that would give me an extra copy to lend out and spread the addiction that is Scott Sigler

I must say, I have purchased copies of 2 of Scott's books through borderlands. They are great!!! Really nice folks that work to make buying from them as easy as possible. It does seem that we usually get our books from Amazon faster than you do. Most of the time we get them within a day of the release. Sometimes stuff will get delayed, but Amazon does get stuff to APOs very quickly. You should get it June 22 from Amazon
Amazon is very good at having the book at your door on the day of sale, or the day after. I am 75% sure you will have it if you order from Amazon. I don't know about Borders, you could call them and ask. You can also pre-order from your local, brick-and-mortar Borders. They will have it on June 22. You pick it up same day, or the 23rd, and boom, all set.

I'll trust your 75% sure but that hasn't been my experience in the past with Amazon. I think that is because mine comes from the Kansas store. In the past, with your books (Infected, Contagious) and others, it is shipped the day it goes on sale. But, if I don't get it in time, I'll pick one up at the signing. No problem.
