That's messed up. AND AMAZING! Wallace's character is a nut job. I can't wait to hear the rest of this story.
I can only hope that round 3 will feature The Cutter vs. Meth Pigeon! Epic.

Sound quality
Great story so far. But, the sound quality in this episode is poor. Very tinny and lots of static and noise.Dig....
I'm really loving this story and where it is going. A few things.
1. I love the explanation as to how the Quyth heart works. Alien yet believable. Well done.
2. Unfortunately the "low one" was referred to as the devil in this episode. From what I understand the purist nation folks never call the "low one" the devil.
3. I would really love to have this story ultimately be rerecorded with Scott reading and all the voice effects put in.

Scott, This story is really good!! No offense to Matt Wallace intended ... but would you consider reading the rest of these episodes? The quality of Matt's recording is sub par and causing this story to be difficult to follow. But it is not just the technical issues at play here ... Matt's inflections and delivery are monotonous and ungenuine. It is very difficult to get past. But kudos to you both on what is developing into a great story. Scott .... take the reins on the delivery.We'll improve quality, but Wallace's reading stays
I often say that the stories sound better when the original author reads them. Actors are great and fine and do wonderful things, but when it comes to the nuance of a story you can not top the author -- because only the author knows how things are originally supposed to sound.
We're working on Matt's recording quality. He's new to doing his own reading, and his producer is making the exact same mistakes I did back in the EARTHCORE days.
However, for the rest of TITLE FIGHT, Matt will continue to read his parts. The only exception could be the final installment, where we might have alternating bits with each character. If that is the case, I'll read that one.
We Fear Change
In the words of the late, great, perpetually on-the-nod Mitch Hedberg, "You can't please all of the people all of the time, and last night all those people were at my show." Like Sigler said, the sound quality will improve and I apologize for the editing gaffes in Round #2 (this was the first audio fiction episode of KILL (the) FEED, which is in turn the first Matt Wallace content-exclusive podcast. New podcast, new staff, new technical issues. That's just how it goes). As for my narration skillz, I'm not too big to take notes like "monotonous" and "disingenuous" (which is the version of "ungenuine" that's actually a word) in stride and try my damndest to improve upon my inflections and overall reading ability if the consensus is that it's lacking. But seriously, dismissing me as a narrator after one ep? Dick move, sir. Dick move. I realize this is Sigler's podcast, Sigler's audience, and that Sigler is your beloved FDO, but goddamn, the man sounds like a cat with a sinus infection being gangraped. Short of throat-singing the words to the story, I have difficulty believing I can't summon a reasonable facsimile to his performance if you guys will give me a shot.Oh it's on now...
There's so much shmack on twitter from Wallace and I can't believe our honorable FDO hasn't stepped up to the plate. Perhaps he's scared wallace will fly west to beat him. Or perhaps such things are far below the FDO's attention. I think the human will win. FDO is a very giving emperor and will allow the heathen wallace a moment of success before crushing him.
Good series, Scott. Both you and Wallace are writing GREAT stuff. Screw the audio quality--it's the story that counts.

Wallace's Twittering is the least of my concerns ...
And it's probably not even him. He's already bitching about his "new podcasting staff." He's been having other people do his recording dirty work for years, while he sits in his MFA ivory tower, sipping on lattes and writing all day. Then he tapes his printouts to the leg of a unicorn, and watches the rainbow as the creature flies of to the Magic Land of Other People Doing Your Recording and Editing For You.
So all the Tweets? Probably part of his Twitter Staff. Matt is busy watching Masterpiece Theatre.
