What's that? Chicago is on the chopping block for PANDEMIC? Check out the great crowd we had in the Windy City, where I not only entertained fans of Da Bears but also did a walk-through of PANDEMIC's "path of destruction." You can see a couple of places where the action will go down in this third and final book in the INFECTED trilogy, due out Fall of 2013 from Crown Publishing.

Yer killin' me FDO! That's not the Sears Tower, it's the John Hancock Tower. The Water Processing thing is Chicago's historic Water Tower (one of the only buildings to survive the Great Chicago Fire).

State and Division?! I used to live near there! Awesome!!!

Anyway, it was great to see you again! Can't wait for Pandemic!

@rwaters73: Sorry about that. All of your Chicago buildings look the same to me. Detroit has like ... five buildings. Chicago has a bunch more.

Also, technically the Sears Tower is now the Willis Tower (AKA the Big Willie)... and even that may change yet again in the next couple of years. Next to no one in Chicago actually acknowledges the name change...always will be the Sears Tower to us.

I only point it out in case things need to be as close to perfectly accurate for fact checking purposes.

It was great seeing you and such a great group of junkies in Chicago! Can't wait until we all get massacred in Pandemic. Have you considered including some Lower Wacker Drive in your path of destruction, a la Blues Brothers?

In the final car chase sequence, when they're driving under the city, and wrecking tons of cop cars--that's Lower Wacker.

also, check the chase scenes in batman begins and the dark knight. both of those underground scenes were lower wacker, and the swat truck into the water in tdk was the chicago river

Is the fall 2012 release date a typo, I thought Pandemic came out next year? I'm crossing my fingers that I'm remembering wrong and it's release is right around the corner.

Yes, totally a typo. I fixed it to read "2013."

Pandemic teasing!!! Sooooo AWESOME!!! Cannot wait to see how this one starts... (you all know what I am talking about) let alone how it ends!

So I Google-Earth'ed (if such a thing can be used as a verb!) Chicago, and it looks like the triangles have already landed! Check out PFC Milton Olive Park, just southeast of Lake Shore Park where the FDO was standing talking about his "path of destruction". Quoting Richard Dreyfus in Close Encounters of the Third Kind, "This means somehting!"
