Death, Taxes, and Scott Sigler

This was played in Scott's feed last year, but to keep the threads going, here's a link to the audio short story I did about meeting Scott at Dragon*Con 2006 (as I recall it. I was drunk though, so I can't be sure... or sued). http://www.pgholyfield.com/maah/archives/76 J.C. Hutchins played the part of Mr. Sigler.

I miss FDO so I listened to this old post again....thanks PG

More CONTENT! Woot!! You really should do more shameless self promotion like my friend Jack Palms....

Now zaphodbblx...

PGHolyfield's picture
Now zaphodbblx, I have no time to do shameless promotion, really (please check out the blog I did as Lui Jiandan at http://godmachinist.blogspot.com ) ... plus, it would make me sound like hutchins (check out the Kilroy 2.0 Stress Disorder bit I put together for J.C Hutchins http://homepage.mac.com/wordherder1/7SDownloads/k2_disorder_long.mp3 ) or Seth Harwood (check out The Nanomonkeys, http://teampodcasts.net , which Seth Harwood contributed to last month). Anyways, I'm sure I can get people to check out my podcast (http://pgholyfield.com/maah) without any shameless self-promotion, right? ;-) Murder at Avedon Hill - podcast novel by P.G. gonna pee on myself and voices would NOT like that * It's all about the Numbers, my friends The Math god

The only Con I have ever

The only Con I have ever been to was Origin's in Columbus, OH. I helped a friend out with Hack Master, Battle-Lords of the 23rd Century, and Blood Dawn. I have learned NEVER get anyone dressed as a Klingon or a Predator drunk.

Hadn't heard this before....

Gmork's picture
But glad I took the time to listen....this was cool! Also..at least I know now that if I attend a con, I need to keep an eye out for those damn stinkin' stormtroopers!

Speaking of being drunk when meeting someone.

I really enjoyed the story. It's not too often that laughter and Sigler go together!

Remember, service elevators

Remember, service elevators are your friend.

I'm definitely keeping that

corwin's picture
I'm definitely keeping that one in mind next year, despite the possibility of being trapped alone in one with Death incarnate. -- The ways of the Lord are often dark but never pleasant.

Made of Awesome

I absolutely loved that piece. I'm glad I didn't hear anything like it before I made the trek up to the party at Dragon*Con 2007... I might have thought twice about putting myself in the same room as Death. Probably not, ough, thconsidering I was drunk enough to think walking 15 flights of stairs was a good idea. -- The ways of the Lord are often dark but never pleasant.

HARHAR!!!

Great story! Scott's death voice reminded me of the Donnie Darko bunny. I just downloaded the whole of Murder at Avedon Hill, so I will get back to you with praises of your tale once it has been digested!

Great Job :)

This was actually how I heard of your other podcast. I was laughing so hard through the whole thing... and it was kinda freaky how much Hutchins sounded like Sigler.. evil doppelganger maybe? lol

funny you should say that...

i was sitting with Scott and Hutch at lunch once, and htey started doing impressions of one another... it was bloody fantastic, and i could not eat because i was sure i'd choke to death from laughing so hard!
