i would like to have a buddy list so that i can mail muttiple people the same message without having togo to each one indivdualy to do so

It is almost the way you wanted it to be. You can address an message to mutiple contacts at once. There is no way for grouping them yet. Maybe the guys over at privatemsg will come up with such an feature. Feel free to put an feature-request:
