I tune into the feed for
I tune into the feed for Sigler hits, but, if it is totally kick ass, sure, throw it right in.
Signature begins here: Name this song and you'll get a hug from the sexyness that is me: "Out of the Mists of time it comes, Older than the oldest line it comes."
FREE IS FUCKING FREEEEEEEE
-what's the problem with that??

Other author's PDF content.
Hell...
Its free DUH
Free shit is free shit right?!?
Lube it up and send it in!
Why not? But....
Hi Scott
I don't mind the extra stuff in your feed, this gives us a better incline into the sick and fucked-up mind of our FDO.
However, if possible, can you put a disclaimer into the episodes header, so if we choose to ignore it, we simply can do this by looking at the header.
more is always good
we have our eye on you more in the feed isnt bad, the FDO needs minions too.as long as we get the good stuff we can accept it being cut with street level content now and then. if it gets too thin though the Order may have to say something.
you know
all that empty space in your comment really is a waste of webspace
I mean 15 enters Was that really necessary??
edit: Thanks

Feed Me!
I get asked all the time about how I find all my new PodCasts... and I tell people that the only way to get new, good content is to listen to the shows you already like and check out that PodCaster's recommendations. BRING IT ON!
On FDO's recommendation, I went and checked out the book 13 Bullets, and am happy to say that it met all my expectations of high paced horror and gore and all kinds of stuff happening. Nice.

Don't infect the primary feed!
I know you're all about Infected right now, but don't let that affect your actions regarding crack distribution. Personally, I get pretty annoyed when people throw full episodes of other shows into their feeds. If I wanted that, I'd go subscribe to *that* feed. Promos, great. That's how the podosphere works.
I was complimenting your way of doing things to some of my friends the other day because you give us a 5-10 second summation of the promos so we can tell whether it's worth our time to listen to them or not. You also put them at the end so it is easy to skip them if we're not interested. You recognize that our time is valuable and have shown it by your actions. Putting other people's work in the primary feed would go contrary to that principle.
Yes, we can certainly delete anything if we want to. But it's still going to have to download and cause that false sense of excitement that something cool from you is en-route. Do what you like, that's my two cents.
Free stuff in the feed
Well, if our beloved/feared FDO©®™ says it's good, then it's good (Or they made a large donation to Siglerism).
1st Canadian Junkie...no?...then how about 1st Junkie from Ontario...1st Junkie from Toronto?...1st Junkie from my neighbourhood?
What is the problem?
Well, I'm all for other content to be placed in the feed. It's not like we have to pay for it, and honestly, if the FDO says it's good, who are we to argue? And I'd prefer to have it all in one feed, too, because my podcatchers are cluttered as it is, and I just prefer to have everything there. I especially like new work from new podcasters who haven't had a chance to put out a name for themselves. Sure, putting the promo in might get a few listeners, but if I don't know that I'll probably like it, I usually don't subscribe. I've got too much to listen to.
But I agree that it should be in a separate file, not in the real crack. Contaminate it and the like.
Only One Problem...
Keep up with the awesomeness, and I'll keep downloading it.
Sigler filter on
Content "hopping"
Personally, I think that content "hopping" is a good way to expand one's horizons. I found my favorite non-podcasting authors based on which other authors (if I read and liked them) reviewed/endorsed the book. For instance, I got into Stephen Baxter via his book The Time Ships which had a blurb from Arthur C. Clarke on the cover (see http://www.amazon.com/Time-Ships-Stephen-Baxter/dp/0061056480/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1209180306&sr=8-1 for an example).
As such, I have no problem with anything the Dark Overlord wants to put in his feed.
Most that are profound would choose to narrate tales of living men with nouns like sorrow, verbs like lose, and action scenes, and love, but then there are now some, and brave they be, that speak of Lunar cities raised and silver spheres and purple seas.
Bring it On
give it to me
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
th emore i read comments here and think on this
-a "Sigler Presents" feed does not sound like a bad idea...
http://www.pgholyfield.com/maah/
yeppers
"sigler reccomends" stuff in one feed, siggies stuff in the other. but a little in the main feed is ok.
Nate Dogg... "life is hard. But its one helluva lot harder if you're stupid"- -John Wayne
Don't 'water down' the pure stuff
I tend to agree with the minority that what our FDO produces is in a class of its own.
Therefore, it would both 'water down' our smack and make the individual episodes too long placing 'other authors content' in the episodes.
If its good stuff then place a promo at the end and we'll be sure to check it out if the promo is promising :-)

Flip for it
Oh no, now I have to think about this....
*I am the Rear Admiral but Sigler gives the Orders*
Knees
WE WILL BOW OUR KNEES to what ever our FDO wishes!!!!!

To clarify my no-ish vote...
I am totally cool with getting PDFs of people's books in the feed. Bring it on. I don't feel compelled to devote time to them. I just ... have them, and can read them if I want, or just hoard them.
Audio in the feed, however, I feel for whatever reason compelled to listen to -- ok, no, not *compelled* ... but ... like I ought to listen to it unless I hate it. It feels like a request for/demand on my time. Thus, I would rather that audio chapters from others not be included in the feed. That is what promos at the end of podcasts are for.
For those who are eager for recommendations, perhaps a "Sigler Recommends..." feed? I don't want to miss out on Sigler content, but that doesn't mean I'll want to listen to everything Scott likes. :)
Regards,
Stephen

Makes Good Sense
I kind of like this idea! Like I mentioned before, anything Sig recommends (time permitting), I'll look at. Having it in a separate feed is smart! My one exception to this whole thing though, SIGLER: if you're late putting your own junk out there because you were busy posting other peoples' junk... I know it's never happened before, but...
(Sorry, I said "junk" twice.)
Our FDO™ is never late
in putting up his "junk"

other than that I chose " Absolutely" because if I don't like it I won't download it or I will delete it.
[1st Dutch junkie] All that matters is getting my fix.
ffs!!!
ffs free stuff is gr8, the way i c it if FDO starts showing off other ppl stuff, other ppl will show even more ppls stuff and more stuff for all lol evry1 likes free stuff. and tbh infected & jack wakes up wouldent sell without the podcast. ppl are happy to help any1 who gives them free stuff. and if helping means gr8 novels for small price ytf wouldnt ppl get them.
free stuff = happy junkies
happy junkies = happy FDO and authers
happy authers = more free stuff
endless fun
what's wrong with a bit of senseless violence?
I agree with the best of the
Not the best place for it
Promos Only
I subscribe to scott's podcast because I want to hear scott's stories. It seems I'm in the minority, but I really don't want to have to go through my itunes and delete other people's fiction. I can tolerate and are sometimes entertained by other authors' promos in the feed, but I honestly haven't been compelled enough to subscribe to any of the authors. I do think that I'm in the majority by saying that Scott really provides a unique product that you just don't get from any of the authors in his circle. Until they can write and perform more like Scott, I'd rather not have to manage their posts in the feed.
Keep it up Scott!!

I like getting stuff that
Well........
I don't mind being directed to a PDF file but for the most part, I just don't click "get" on my itunes (unless it is something I want to get). Like uh "Jack wakes up".

discovering new content via Sigler
There is Only 1 Sigler
Don't waste my bandwidth on non-Sigler Content. Unlike some fortunate people, up here in the frozen north of Canada, we have things called bandwidth limits... and I'm sure I am damn close to going over. Put a promo after an episode and if I'm interested I'll go download it. But honestly, is there anything else out there worthy of being in the same feed as you Scott? Please don't tell me you are going to put some J.C. Hutchin's content in your feed, because that is just sick.
I So Want to Check Never...
I really want to check never, but honest answer is if I don't like it, I delete it.
