And also, my team is the drizzling shits right now.
Hopefully they can use that damn ring to stop the leak and start playing some football.
YO! Mr. Producer!!!
Do we have your answer yet, or do we have to form a line of our ten strongest arms and apply a biblical level pink belly next year?
killing me how it ended, need more . figured Q would be the next coach. or some great tech from petra saves the arm. more i need more the fix is wearing off.
Very disappointed in the Splithead in this book.
He personally gave Barnes his GBXXVII ring, and didn’t even have it bugged with listening and/or tracking devices? A sentient that he has to know isn’t happy with him, after that whole fake-out situation…
C’mon, Greedy, old boy, you’re smarter than that!
I don’t think it’s all that bad a section, but I knew what was coming from the original.
I’m halfway through #38 and it’s harder, but that’s mostly because I have kids now and didn’t when the original came out.
I think people are mentioning Patrick Warburton for Brian because that’s exactly who comes to mind whenever Phil does Brian’s voice. Every time he talked I got a mental image of a raging Brock Sampson. Also Kronk, but I couldn’t picture him raging.
I’m finally getting around to listening to this, and it’s interesting trying to pick out the differences between this and the original podiobook version.
I think Phil is doing a great job. Every time he does Brian’s Voice I hear Patrick Warburton (Brock Sampson in Venture Brothers, Kronk in Emperors New Groove, etc).
It helps that Brock Sampson could easily be a Zed/Savior.Anonymous October 16, 2014 at 7:56 am
Listening to the audiobooks only, I will probably butcher spelling. I was very excited to get more of a back-story on the Rocktopi from the Earthcore book. The association with the portath kinda of blew my mind.
We know from earthcore that the 1st set of rocktopi/portath were not very intellegent. It was a very long time since I read that book, but I as I recall the “dumbing down” of the aliens was attributed to the in-breading. The same doesn’t seem to have happened with the 3rd ship in space. Was this due to a bigger population, better management, or some other factor that I missed. It also makes me wonder about the 2nd ship in Mt. Fitzroy – if they will be intelligent or dumb.Anonymous October 16, 2014 at 7:26 am

Just wanted to brag that I’m one of the 1st sentients in the galaxy to hear the entirety of this book. I just completed the 19 an a half hour audiobook via my Audible subscription. One downside is now I have to wait longer until the next book arrives. I love this series. Thanks to Mr. Sigler.
Great! Be sure to add your info to the Junkie Names doc so everyone knows who you are!
