Haven’t gotten to Messal’s speech yet, but did greatly enjoy John’s pep talk to the Prawatt. My 16 year old son is reading the MVP and catching up to me. He burst into my room late last night laughing after reading the same scene. I’ll never think about puppies the same.
I was blown apart in the Crypt dieing in perhaps the most gruesome manner so far in this story. It was glorious.
I’m still waiting for my “MC” medal to wear on my username.
This is a great, thickly worded book and can get daunting if you’re used to faster prose. Michael Chabon won the Pulitzer Prize for this story of two young guys that come up with an idea to make comics and all the adventures that happen throughout the years of their lives. It’s not as much about comics as I would have guessed and more about how the publishing industry screwed the two main characters. Definitely a life lesson for our FDO.
I get paid to draw the internal organs that Scott’s characters get stabbed, sliced or crushed.
Maybe it’s been too long. Maybe the audio files have addled my brain. Either way, I can’t remember what tipped me off to these weekly (sometimes weekly) stories.
I do remember that when I started I was able to go back and listen to all of Earthcore with episodes back to back. Ah… those were glorious days. Not at all like the waiting we have to endure for the next sweet hit.
