Sorry for using this as a forum topic, but I am working on something GFL related and though I have read all the books, I can’t remember if Hokor’s fur color is ever mentioned. Anyone got any idea what it was?
Hail Denver Junkies!
I look forward to meeting the lot of you and hope we can represent on July 18th at the Tattered Cover!
This could be a good warm up for Sigler fest 2015 and of course a rare opportunity to meet the FDO and incomparable Lady A!
I was talking to a neighborhood friend when the discussion eventually led to him mentioning that after Googling himself he discovered he was a character in a book by a guy named Scott Sigler.
I tried maintain composure and listened as he talked about his character Paulius Klimas in Pandemic. I spent the next ten minutes proselytizing on the virtues of Scott’s hard work and tried to convince Paulius that he needed to read the book (but of course read the previous books in the series first).
So my question for S. Sigler, do you remember where names come from when you use them in your books? What about Paulius? Seems like an unusual name.
Well, it’s always better to have an over abundance of audio content than a shortage, right?
With the exception of TITLE FIGHT, I’ve bought all the audiobooks as they’ve been released on Audible. It’s worth the minimal $$$ to me to get the book all at once and it also saves me the effort of editing out all the Scottie speak for those 2nd, 3rd, and 4th listens.
That is awesome!!! I work at my desk and I listen to the whole series over and over. I would love to add these to the listening experience.
So, sorry I missed the Q&A episodes with this one. I’m a bit behind on things. I just wanted to ask, was John Tweedy’s tattoo an elaborately thought up method of beating the Portath warrior which was carried all the way back to book 1??? Also, any chance that Pokypse Pete and Commissioner Frose are related?
Sorry if this is way too late and doesn’t ever get answered…
@JTManis Most folks don’t come here anymore. Check out the Sigler Junkies group on Facebook. That’s where everyone seems to hang out nowadays. LOTS of new Junkies who’d love to get their hands on the first three for sure. Not sure about the CONTAGIOUS hardcover.
If all else fails, eBay them. If you want to stick with OJs who still visit this site, I also began a “Junkies selling to Junkies” thread a while back for situations exactly like this. Use it if you want. I happened across this when searching for the tattoo thread…..
Allison: Here you go!
Although, that’s not a great representation of the Rocktopi. We’ll work on getting new art up in the future.
I’ve never been good at visualizing the characters. I would love to know!
We’re not sure. Could be after ALIVE, which will end in in mid-November of this year. That said, it could be later too, if we choose to release ALIGHT a bit early as well, as we did with ALIVE.
By year’s end we’ll also have THE DETECTIVE and THE REPORTER and EARTHCORE audiobookified and ready to go, but I don’t think there’s an order or a plan yet for which goes first. If it’s my choice, and we’re not running ALIGHT early, I’d probably put PANDEMIC there.
One of these has bothered me for 5 books now and I probably should have asked these questions a long time ago.
1) why can players so easily play different positions?
2) why can Becka throw the ball when she’s not a quarterback?
3) can players in real life change positions and do things that aren’t ordinarily a part of their given position? How do your plays in the book compare to the real real thing (not including things like the Sklorno can jump really high. That’s just an exaggeration of something we already do!)?
