We had to bump up the caching and disable some features to withstand the high amount of traffic on April 1st, but this should not affect the site the way you experience it. I'll keep an eye on that issue.

also just installed a plugin which *should* detect your timezone and adjust the rendering preferences accordingly. Let's hope for the best.

It was the age old problem we've had since Day 1. If you look at the posts I made before, they were all within 5 minutes of each other, and made sequentially. Yet the timestamps say that it took me 56 minutes and some were made out of order. Not a huge deal, but somewhat annoying. I generally only count on the timestamp for the date because I know the time is so unreliable.

That's how fast you guys are on this, like a bum on a baloney sandwich. DØM troubleshooting in the house. 

Thought I would let you know that the original topic of this is still (and has been continually since I flagged it) an issue.  I know I kinda went quiet on this after the date stamp thingy came up but thought I'd better mention it in case you thought that this was not an issue any more. Incidentaly I have also checked this on other computers and have the same problem.  It may be a trans Atlantic problem and it may be that I have to get my crack via carrier pigeon. (but not an issue for me on any other US sites/servers).  It's probably no biggy if no one else is complaining about it so don't stress too much.  I'll just have to be more patient with waiting for pages to load/update.

i think i can rule out a technical issue here. not much more left than blame it on the ISP. This server is running here in Germany, so it might be an routing issue or something. You'll never know, and right now you are the only one with that kind of trouble. As much i would like to solve that for you, not sure i can. I'll keep my eyes open and watch for other reports like this, maybe there is some pattern for us to find.

I've been experiencing it too.  It doesn't happen every time I post, but sometimes the site lags quite a bit before the page refreshes.

seriously thanks guys I was getting to the point that i thought that it was my shitty (just fixed and broken) laptop that would be getting itself a one way flight across the room.  Like I say it's not so frustrating that I'll give up crack or anything but it does interrupt the intraveinous flow of the good stuff giving me the shakes from time to time....must have discipline!
