My user pic doesn't show in the forums. is this a bug or pebkac?

it will not show when you start a thred (as in this one) but when you post a comment your picture shows (this was an edit of an earlier post)

Maybe I should adjust the Template-Files for the Forum in order to achieve a more classing board feeling which you might have been used to on other sites?

I would be very interested - I am a simple, un-frozen caveman... the layout of these boards frightens and confuses me.
