Let me lay this out... I have a 9 year old Chow Lab mix, my children are 21 and 18 and obviously, they were not wee babes then we got this dog. However in recent history he has bitten a child that provoked him and on this last Sunday attempted to attack my Grandson who is 13 months old, because said grandchild fell in to close proximity to him. Even though the grandchild holds precedence I can’t help but feel guilty about the dogs destruction as he lies here under my feet. There is no child free world, here or in World of Warcraft, please my fellow OJ’s tell me it’s ok or give me a different route to take and I’ve found no completely child free homes.
I specialize in accurate interpretation of your pathetically unclear and dismally vague descritpion of what you think you want.
I would check out all of the no kill shelters in your area. When we take on animals we take on certain responsibilities but you are right, the grandchild takes precedence. Is there any way to cage the dog when said grandchild visits (or any child for that matter).

Happy to hear that.
I had to give up one of my own before. he is happy on the ranch that adopted him.
