Saw this on DVICE.com. It's implantable LED lights that can be implanted under the skin.

This story must be making the sci-fi blog rounds. I just read it off of io9.

Sounds like there are still complications -- brittleness -- but very promising for a future of Tweedy tattoos. Once again, the FDO shows his prescient science themes from his novels. Word domination...surrender now.

The first thing I thought of when I read the headline was "I wonder how much longer before somebody figures out how to mentally control the display?" I love the line about how you know that somebody is figuring out how to put these in a condom!
