Someone asked the FDO about Chick McGee's voice/character in The Starter Q&A.  At least I think it was Chick.  Scott confirmed it was inspired by Howard Cosell.

He also mentioned that the character is based on Chick McGee, the "sports guy" from the Bob and Tom radio show, which is based out of Indianapolis and nationally syndicated.  I've met Chick several times.

Yeah.  Am I remembering right that the Cosell reference was also to McGee, or was it the other sportscaster?

Mesara the Observant sounds like Howard Cosell.
