The post about the GFL influencing NFL uniforms got me thinking.  Do you FDO, and fellow Junkies, think fiction(books,movie, or even video games) that takes place in the future, will influnce the real world in form or function in the future?  Granted, I recently read an article about a real life "tri-corder" like device being devloped.  I guess I am thinking about more "fantastical" concepts.  Stuff like the troop transports from Aliens or Halo.  Or the football pads from the GFL that "form" to the player.  I know th FDO puts a lot of work into using science to make his stories as plausible as possible.  I dunno, random thought.
