So if current rules apply will the book feature dumb fines for hitting the other team or playing with your chinstrap undone?

Given the rate of fatalities in the GFL, no one is going to play with their chinstrap undone. I don't recall any spearing mentioned in the GFL games, but given that fatalaties are evaluated as to whether they were "clean hits" and that there are blood debts, it does appear there are safety protocols in place. Then again, the league IS dominated by mob bosses...
