Thank you for the free content. I enjoy your stories and characters, keep up the awesome writing/voice work.

With that aside, how did you come up with the idea to talk so much before and after each installment? You write great fiction, but I don't think it justifies the painfully lengthly sessions of you patting yourself on the back. I guess you gotta sell your brand, but so far the Sigler prattle is THE only downside to this podcast.

Nocturnal rocks, and Perry is classic, but you sir are a ham! Oh, and I guess if you do end up dominating the world, disregard this post. Thank you.

I'll give you my humble opinion

I kinda like the banter. In an odd way, I like hearing the FDO freak out but I especially like hearing all the ways the Junkies mess with him (rick Rollin on the Gore Line was especially hilarious).

But I can understand that some people just want their crack. If the banter does make it less enjoyable for you, I would suggest going to Podiobooks.com and subscribing to Sigler's books from there. The banter is removed and you get good clean crack. The FDO has mastered the ability to synchronize releases, so everything released through this site is available at Podiobooks.com.

I think a lot of the junkies like to hear whats going on in the FDO's world. Remember too that we're experiencing many of these events in 'real-time' as it were, as the stories are being put out each week. The whole Amazon thing went down right in the middle of The Rookie, and I know a lot of junkies felt like they had a dog in that hunt, just as much as FDO did.

That said, I've become very good at reaching down and hitting the 'forward' button on my iPod while driving to work each morning. :-)

It does make you feel a part of the whole process of what's going on in his life. And I think he should be proud of his accomplishments and market them accordingly. Just my humble opinion!!

I use Podibooks for the non Jibber Jabber episodes and also download the site content with the Jibber Jabber so I can go back and catch up on current events. FDO includes a lot of relevant information in the Jibber Jabber sessions.

The cool thing about most of it falling at the end of the book content epis is that you can just skip it if you choose to. BTW, if you haven't heard "Getting Pissed w/ the FDO" you much listen to it now. Must listen.

I don't always listen to it all, but its nice to know the FDO is a real person and that he wants to reach out to us. He's not some A-Hole sitting on high pushing out content with no connection.

...but why didn't you just skip past the content that you didn't want to listen to? It's not like the MP3s are locked so that you have to listen to the FDO speak.

Personally, I'm disappointed that I first downloaded the stories from Podiobooks.com, and for my second run (I've finished up listening to *everything* I'm going to go back through and download the "jibber jabber" copies to listen to the old news, and old rants.
