Just wanted to comment on Ancestor.  I am an USAF vet and was floored and thrilled when I heard the ref to "F.R.E.D." (C5).  Don't know where you got your info but you nailed it.  We only used "Fred" when talking about that aircraft and I cannot tell you how much your ref to the USAF slang ammused and entertained not only me but the other folks on the road around me when I first heard it.
