Nocturnal - Podcast Listeners - tell us your Favorites

Ηi Junkiez I have changed the Format of this Forum....since my last suggestion was slammed by the Forum Visitors---------Miserable Buggers....Anyhow here we go with a new Idea!!!.... As we are all waiting axiously for another episode of Nocturnal...And obviously Scott will take some time to get to it....why don't we have like a "Listeners Edition" of what's "HOT" & what's "NOT" in the PODCAST world??.... Here we can discuss what other Authors we are reading/Listening to at the moment...and as below with PG Holyfield and others we can get comments and feedback from them about our Comments...on them,.....if you see what I mean. Anyhow....we have had some great suggestions so far and comments....but we could make this a really informative and regular forum....And Perhaps the Dark Overlord™ ...could post a few comments himself....FOR GODS SAKE SIGLER IT IS YOUR DOMAIN AFTER ALL!!! Anyhow....Please read below....I have found some Great Podcasts that were suggested from here.... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

(PS) No idea what crack Hits are ...but if you want to give me some i'd appreciate it...but God only knows why??.......

Yell

Question??

WHY DO WOMEN GET MORE CRACK HITS THAN MEN...??? YOU BITCH LOVING BASTARDS!!....I'VE ONLY GOT 60HITS  IN 8 SHITTING WEEKS AND SOME FEMME FATALE BITCH HAS GOT 650 IN 11 WEEKS.................BASTARDS,.........I HATE YOU.........please give me a crack hit...bitch lover. Listen.....I think this might be Cold Turkey or Something....perhaps its a rubbish but i'm waiting like mad for the next hit....Its like missing Heroes or 24 for a week and then getting a bit moody about it... Anyhow I will have a look at the link that was suggested by Treed.....but I still hink this is quite a good Idea.........just to keep the boredom at arms length..... CheersJunkies....sorry if I sounded like a twat or something!!!

I'm listening to Murder at Avedon Hill, and honestly, it's a pretty good podcast. Good production values, engaging story and plot. I'm actually really enjoying it. And it does give one something to do while awaiting their next fix... Most of these are listed on Podiobooks, others can be found. Actually, this is the list of what I'm currently listening to: Black Shadow - Energetic Communion of the Saint - Intriguing Checkwolf - sophmoric, but mildly entertaining Darkage - Amateurish, but they're trying really really hard Decoder Ring Theater - (kids love this one) Hard Boiled Hall of Mirrors (if he ever publishes another one) Interview for a Wizard (not too bad. passes the time) A Long November (Christmas is over, finish the podcast already) Morevi remastered - Tee is one of the masters Murder at Avedon Hill - The story is really ramping up... Playing for Keeps - Gotta love the power to control elevators Seth Harwood LWFD - Palms Daddy found here Secret World Chronicle - Good stories but fractured, and of late, late Space Casey - She's a riot Tamshi's Imp - Plods along, but it's something to listen to Transistor Radio - Nemcoff is awesome The Veingel - Really taking too much time to get the story out... Crazy thing is that even with this big list, I still only get a few a week to listen to... Other completed ones I'd recommend if you want to mainline it: Seth Harwood - Jack Palms I & II - Gotta Shake Em' Down 7th Son - Sorry Sigler, but it "is" a good story, not as good as yours of course Basil Sands - 65 Below - Karl's Last Flight - Excellent Darker Projects - Take your pick, they're all really good Nemcoff - Listen to em' all. A Different Point of View (TD0013) - LMAO Nathan Lowell - Quarter/Half/Full/South Coast - Worth every minute One among the sleepless - freaked me out Pirate Jack - Good for kids Serve it Cold - a ride to enjoy ShadowMagic - If you haven't listened to this one yet, why? Pocket and the Pendent - Takes a while to get into, but it doesn't suck Failed City Monologues - Keeps you hooked through to the very end. Brave Men Run - nostalgic Billibub Baddings - Dwarf Lovin' - Nuff said. That's an abbreviated list... I don't think any of these could take the place of a Sigler Fix, but it would get you by... I might post this list as a separate topic and look for additions from everyone... This missive brought to you by SynapticJam - hhhmmm... tastes like chicken

Re: Nocturnal - Podcast Listeners - tell us your Favorites
What do you think of his production?? I find it a bit heavy on the effects, makes it hard to hear the dialogue and narration, for me anyway. Could be my old ears. Good story though. As to your list, I would also add the following Escapepod – one story a week, good stories scifi Psuedopod – like escapepod but horror (their first story was one of scott’s) Stranger Things - their first story was also one of scott’s Manic Mondays – just fun SciFi Surplus – fun and informative Children of the Gods – like star trek, but different Knitwitch’s scfi/fantasy – stories interviews (hey scott, she’s a junkie, let her interview you, she did Morris this month) and fun stuff And as far as completed podcast stories and books and podfaded podcasts…….too many to list right now * It's all about the Numbers, my friends The Math god check out PG Holyfields stuff....... Re: Nocturnal - Podcast Listeners - tell us your Favorites
SynapticJam, I appreciate that you've got THE VEINGEL in your listening list, and I'm really sorry that the updates haven't been coming fast enough in the past. Last week I posted two new episodes, and I think I can continue at that pace for the rest of the book, releasing a new episode on Wednesdays and Fridays. I'm writing and podcasting this novel "on-the-fly," which has been a challenge for me, since I write fairly slow. My question for you is: what's a minimal frequency for updates that you expect as a listener before you lose interest? Also, would you prefer pod-novelists wait to put up their work until after it's 100% complete? Thanks, ~Jeremy James

I agree with you on Black Shadow, plus his choice of voice can be a bit over the top every once in awhile. I listened to Children of the Gods too. Not bad. I'll hadd a few of the other ones. This missive brought to you by SynapticJam - hhhmmm... tastes like chicken

Re: Nocturnal - Podcast Listeners - tell us your Favorites
Treed, Good news .... i am on chapter 3 of Avedon Hill....and yes i am really enjoying it so far. I had this week downloaded a couple of real crap ones from ITunes...one of which was a computer generated voice doing some sort of dictation of a book....that was real crap.....and then a couple of rather camp sounding Orators....that really turned me off.....and now Avedon Hill.......sounds a bit 16th Century with a twist of Fantasy....yeps its really quite interesting ....and i might even offer to be a voice....but perhaps that option has moved on now......but thanks Treed for the info and SynapticJam for some info on your reading.....and even better new i get an email telling me #12 is out today ......so its all looking rosy from here!!! Cheers Junkies.

Re: Nocturnal - Podcast Listeners - tell us your Favorites
i told PG it reminded me of the sean connery flick, had rose in the title, but better a cross between fantasy, gothic, CSI, horror and just plain fun doesn't have the blood splatter sigler (DAMN HIM) does, but it's good mystery that keeps your interest * It's all about the Numbers, my friends The Math god check out PG Holyfields stuff....... about an intellectually nonconformist monk investigating mysterious deaths in an old abbey. I checked out the IMDb, it's great for all this stuff. I love the atmosphere and music of Murder at Avedon Hill, It paints itself into your mind. *** I am Renfield to Sigler's Dracula ***

Re: Nocturnal - Podcast Listeners - tell us your Favorites
I just discovered podcasts, and of course, when you discover podcasts, you discover Sigler. This podio book is frickin awsome! I have always been a reader, but there are just sometimes you can't get away with reading. However, my alarm clock has an iPod dock, my car has an auxiliary input and my sound system at work alsoo has an aux. in. To shorten this. I blazed through all the Bloodcasts in 2 days and I started Nocturnal yesterday and am now listening to Ch 7 as I type this. (it's good to be the boss). By the end of the day, I expect to be jonesin for the next 'cast, and I don't know how to handle non-instant gratification. Any suggestions for a noob from vets??? This smells familiar, have I been here before?

Hi Edayers.and all the Junkiez... Sigler is an adiction.....Its like a good book that you just can't put it down. I have saved 12# for my long walk with the dog today....so I'm really on a high waiting for this. Also i'm now at 9# of Murder on Avedon Hill ....which is also a great PodioBook...and Holyfield's use of music - and it really enchanting music....is superb. I'm really enjoying both these books and think I could be hooked on both these Guys as Podcasters. Keep up the good work USA.... Has anyone got any GB Podcasters that they can recommend???....there's nothing quite like listening to a good old English voice now and then... Any Mr Holyfield...if you need a Brummie accent for any Podcasts....I'm happy to oblige... Stuart
