How did you find Scott Sigler's work?

I happened upon podcast for Nocturnal by chance. I had no idea what I was getting into. I subscribed back in Jan, but didn't begin listening to it on my zune until March 24th. I listened during work to 17 episodes in 2 days. (Pissed of quite a few coworkers in the process) Now I know what an addict must feel like! I find myself fiending for my next fix! Nice to know that good, quality sh!t is still available. Was a Stephen King fan for years, but he's been bumped. I'll be starting either the Rookie, Earthcore or Ancestor this week, so that I can keep the pangs of withdrawl away while I wait until next weeks Nocturnal episode! I may od on this sh!t! Awesome story and unparalleled characters (Pookie? Mr. Biz-nass? pure genius!) combined with a sense of humor.. what more can you ask for?

Can't wait until April 1, but not sure what I'll do on 4/2, after I finish INFECTED! Just missed the deadline for the OJ boat, but better late than never!

He couldn't believe I didn't come out w/the book and make excuses about the diapers.Innocent

I am truly LOVING Scott, I've downloaded The Rookie to his iPod so he'll be hooked but good.  Too bad the baby is too little to understand (yet).

Re: How did you find Scott Sigler's work?

For Christmas 2006 I recieved a 30 GB Creative Zen Vision:M multimedia player (iPods are cool but I like to organize my music my own way and don't care to mess with all the DRM BS).  Well my lil' bro had an iPod and listened to a few podcasts, so I sought out to find some programming that would interest me.  I have a long commute and audio programs are perfect for that.  Well at first I just started listening to Cinemaslave (being a big movie fan) where I heard about Podcast Pickle.  When I visited "the pickle" JC Hutchins' 7th Son Descent was #1, well I got into that after the first episode.  Then as I went through it I started hearing the Sigler promos, sounded cool but I didn't bother checking it out at first.  Then as Sig and the Hutch started doing cross-podcast games to promote each other I decided I had to check him out.  Well I went ahead and started with Earthcore, and listened to Ancestor, Infected, and started listening to The Rookie when it was about 3/4 done.  By the time I got to the last episode of the Rookie it was all posted already.  Man I nearly overdosed on the Sig-crack!..and was loving all the steady stream of gore and intrigue....then Nocturnal started and for the first time I learned what being a Junkie is all about....the waiting for my episodes was new too me, and it has been hard, but it has been worth it.

Around x-mas time, I did a search for free audiobooks and found podiobooks and librivox.  Since than, I've been adding podcasts like crazy.  Hard to keep up with only dial-up though.

I found Scott while listening to Sirius. They were playing earthcore and I was hooked. I downloaded the podcast immediately and through Scott found J.C., P.G. Holyfield, Phil Rossi and many others. I have been with him for every podcast from earthcore onward. Thanks evil overlord. stormwalker

Re: How did you find Scott Sigler's work?

I found out about Scott, when he had an interview on Tech nation with Dr. Moira Gunn (sp?).  I liked the idea and downloaded all of Earthcore and Ancestor and finished listening to them in less than 5 days.

I still remember walking back to mya apartment late one night and hearing something behind me and it making me jump.  I had been listening to Ancestor.  When Scott described them as haveing the hide of a Holstien cow, that took no imagination for me because I grew up on a dairy farm.  So it only took a little sound behind me to scare me pretty bad.

Good job FDO.

Wow, it's been so long, but I think I heard a plug for Sig's work on C.C. Chapman's music podcast Accident Hash." It was quite a while ago!

Re: How did you find Scott Sigler's work?

One day the second week of April I was bored at weekday work (just like right now!) and was looking at Amazon. They had a blurb that said "Check here for a list of Suspense" or some such. There were two books recommended: one, the cover of which had a disturbing photo of an eye with a triangular iris, from an author I had never heard of. Forgot what the other was.

I bought that book (at the special price of fifteen dollars!), and when it showed up, finished it in only four days.

Then my life as I knew it ended.

I visited the websites mentioned on the blurb. I discovered Scott's site, and decided to download some episodes. I was already addicted to podcasts, listening to mostly stuff about Disney World and Las Vegas, and stuff from Fox News and CNN.

I started about three weeks ago downloading Scott's stuff. I have been walking around since then half-dead from lack of sleep from staying up listening to and downloading anything Sigler. I ripped through Ancestor, Earthcore, The Rookie, Bloodcast, and am caught up on Nocturnal (will KILL something if I don't get episode 29 SOON) and the podcast of Infected.

Okay back to work now. Thanks for ruining my life Sigler!

...introduced me to Earthcore. My friends and family told me FDO sense of humor was on par with mine. I was hooked half way through Ancestor. Magnus P. is my favorite NPC now. Sarah P. is the sexiest fictional women up to date and Passe(ms) was one hell of a good dog. I have know country dogs who that devoted to there pack/family.
