How did you find Scott Sigler's work?

I happened upon podcast for Nocturnal by chance. I had no idea what I was getting into. I subscribed back in Jan, but didn't begin listening to it on my zune until March 24th. I listened during work to 17 episodes in 2 days. (Pissed of quite a few coworkers in the process) Now I know what an addict must feel like! I find myself fiending for my next fix! Nice to know that good, quality sh!t is still available. Was a Stephen King fan for years, but he's been bumped. I'll be starting either the Rookie, Earthcore or Ancestor this week, so that I can keep the pangs of withdrawl away while I wait until next weeks Nocturnal episode! I may od on this sh!t! Awesome story and unparalleled characters (Pookie? Mr. Biz-nass? pure genius!) combined with a sense of humor.. what more can you ask for?

Can't wait until April 1, but not sure what I'll do on 4/2, after I finish INFECTED! Just missed the deadline for the OJ boat, but better late than never!

Re: How did you find Scott Sigler's work?
I had subscribed to the Skepticality podcast a few months ago, and was working through back episodes when i heard an interview with Sigler about the Ancestor release and free PDF stunt. I was intrigued, and started listening to Earthcore. My life is now, of course, no longer my own. [I think, therefore I'm right. -Hugo Rune]

Way back when Earthcore came out (I thinks Scott had two episodes in the can at the time and had unleashed them).

Things have never been the same since!!

Re: How did you find Scott Sigler's work?
I started downloading only a few episode sinto Earthcore (or Earthgore as my wife refers to it). I saved up the episodes as I do now until I had the whole book, then an OD attempt as I listened to it. I think Michael and Evo pushed me over that way. On a clear disk, you can seek forever.

Everyone in the podcasting world was pimping the free PDF of Ancestor.  I figured 20,000 podcasters couldn't be wrong.  I was Sigler's junkie bitch within pages.
I've spent my hard earned coin on Sigler's creative product and will for years to come.  Tasty crack dontchaknow.

I found his work to be moist and tasty although Purists tend to be a bit salty at first.  I say skip them and go straight for Marie's children.  They have an interesting undercurrent of lemon and sage.

I met Scott at Dragon*Con 2006, Evo Terra told me that we had to have him on Skepticality, since Scott tries to make all of his horror 'real'. And he touts himself as a Skeptical author, and doesn't use woo-woo to make his stuff scary. Since then, I have not only enjoyed his books, I helped with the Science advising on Infection... Infested, or whatever they made him change the name to! :)

I've never actually liked listening to books. But my mom does and she came across Scott's free podcasts and listened to them while she walked the dog. While I don't really believe she is a junkie she did say I should try listening to them cause I'd like them. I brushed her off but was slightly intrigued and just had to listen to one. Haven't stopped listening since. Though I haven't made it very far. Still catching up on Nocturnal (almost there!), and haven't listened to the others. But I've put a bunch on my iPod so...

DJ AJ's podcast page had a link to Earthcore's podcast page. It

was episode 10 and I downloaded all them and discovered

Earthcrack. but they've all been right on time. Amazing how

    Sigler does that.

There was some article on the USA Today, like 3 years ago maybe? Anyways, they had an article in it and I think it mentioned Adam Curry and some other podcasts like CC Chapman. On CC's site, he had a list of other podcasts on the right hand side and Earthcore was on there. I started to listen to it and was hooked. When I started to listen, it was episode 6 or seven. It was so long ago I forget!

I was listening to the podcast 7th Son Book One  late summer last year -when I heard the promo for Sigler.

I was hooked after one episode.

Been so long now, don't remember for sure. Pretty sure it was listening to Adam Curry back when podcasting first started out. Wow 3 years sure flys by...

Keep up the great work Scott, you get better with every book. I thought The Rookie would be my favorite, but Nocturnal's really close to passing it.

I been with Scott ever since the first episode of Earthcore, I think I heard about him on another podcast maybe Slice of Scifi not really sure because I listen to way too many Podcasts. But Scott had me with his very first. One day maybe I'll meet him in person.

Re: How did you find Scott Sigler's work?

After getting my fist iPod in late 2006, one of the first things I did was go to iTunes and purchase the Tale of Two Cites by Charles Dickens ($30). It took a few weeks for me to finish that tale but when I was finished I thought there had to be a less expensive way to do this, so I went on an internet search. One of my search terms was Charles Dickens and Audio books which led me to a review of Scott’s work in which Scott’s serialized podcasts were compared to the serialized print distribution Charles’s Dickens used to initially reach his audience.

So, I guess I found Scott by searching for Charles Dickens audio books – Really, that is how it happened!

I used to listen to Live 365 internet broadcasting, there were lots of sites with old radio horror and scifi, but after moving to Oregon in 2005 I found several places and sites with original content for sci fi and Horror ,thru those I found  Brave Men Run and Earthcore, and then I really became hooked on all the stuff Scott does.  I am amazed how audio book podcasts have grown since 2005.  I cannot keep up with all the stuff I want to hear....but Sigler's stuff is always my first choice.

MidApril, I was running in BJs to pick up diapers and I paused @ the book table and saw INFECTED. I only had enough cash for the diapers so I accosted a worker for his permenant marker and wrote INFECTED//SCOTT SIGLER on the box.

A couple days later I sent my hub to buy the book and there were NO copies left!!! Crushed, I did a web search, came across his site and fell into line w/the worshipping masses.
