What are you reading now, or what do you recommend?

I've seen threads about what we listen to and what movies we watch, but as intelligent of an audience as we have here, I'm guessing the vast majority of us read treeware books too. So how about it? What have you read dozens of times? Why? What was horrid and you threw across the room in disgust? What are you reading now? Besides Contagious. That's a DUH.

Read the Algebraist ages ago and i just got another one of his books the other day. Really epic sci-fi stuff. Kind of like Peter F Hamilton except shorter. And just to be awkward: Haruki Murakami. Japanese author. Really, really weird... In a good way! His best one i've read would probably be Norwegian Wood.

Finished Heavenfield and picked this one up at Balticon. Patient Zero by Jonathan Maberry is fantastic! Puts a hook in you right from the start. It's a great dose of SciFi/horror, heavy on the science. Wanna be scared about zombies, read this one!

when I ordered it the first time the book seller on amazon did not actaully have the book in stock. 

so Now it is in my qeue to read.

The only detractor is a lengthy near-rant he goes on about economics. But then again, it's interesting and classic Heinlein (the futurist). It's actually quite amazing how he describes some of the economic issues we face today!

 SORRY!  Its good though.  Not Sigler good and I still can't deal with "Welcome Up Everybody", but its good.

Just finished Lirael by Garth Nix and now I am 60% done (according to my Kindle) with the third part of the trilogy, named Abhorsen.  Awesome series, intellegently written with some of the most unique devices I've read in a fantasy novel.

The Leviathan Chronicles. Well done and thoroughly enjoyable. Almost half way through.
