What are you reading now, or what do you recommend?
I've seen threads about what we listen to and what movies we watch, but as intelligent of an audience as we have here, I'm guessing the vast majority of us read treeware books too. So how about it? What have you read dozens of times? Why? What was horrid and you threw across the room in disgust? What are you reading now? Besides Contagious. That's a DUH.

After Nocturnal I decided to re-read the Pendergast series by Douglas Preston and Lincon Child.  I'm on Dance of Death right now.  Working my way to the one about to be released called Two Graves.

Finished Fifty Shades of Smut and Fifty Shades Darker and wow. I've read erotica before but this is another level. So much sex I wonder how they didn't work in a urinary track infection!

Received a lot of warning that there is a bit of repetition and that is definitely true.... this poor author is in desperate need of an honest editor that can give her some alternate phrases.

I did enjoy the embodiment of the main character's subconscience and inner goddess. Those bits were nothing short of hysterical and effectively conveyed emotions that would have seemed trite if it were just explained. Loved the authors varied vocabulary... I now know what avuncular means.

I think my major problem with these books is the suffocating, interdepency of the main characters relationship.  I sort of forgave it because one's damaged and one's inexperienced, but any person who survived a devastiing relationship and became stronger for it, would have left this relationship in a heartbeat. I enjoyed the second more than the first because of the character development and revelations. None the less, the sex was gratuitous and it was a page turner.

DEAD OF NIGHT & DRAGON FACTORY were pretty good, but PATIENT ZERO was awesome. If you're into zombies, Mayberry also has his ROT & RUIN series. I read both books and really liked them.

I finished Outliers: The Story of Success by Malcolm Gladwell. It was an interesting read.  Now I need to go sully my mind with something violent and bloody and fabulous.

I got a bunch of Micheal Slades for cheap at a yard sale a few weeks ago; I also got all four Otherland books for 20$ in all. I've read all of the books before; but there's something nice about doing a bunch of re-reading during the summer break.

ooooh That's another series I have waiting to be read! I've got the books and have heard nothing but good things about it. Just gotta find the time. Good to know they are worth a re-read though!

I've been reading the Signs of the Zodiac series by Vicki Pettersson. It is a supernatural series. It is an interesting read. There are several plot holes, especially in the first books. The writing is tighter in the last half of the series and I really enjoyed the story. The overall story was interesting enough to keep me reading in spite of the problems in the first few books. It is a series with a strong femal lead. She is flawed and makes many mistakes, but that is kind of why I like her. Sh is not perfect but has a great way of figuring things out for herself rather than relying on others.

Almost done with I AM LEGEND. I enjoyed the movie version and wanted to see how different the source material was. Wow. Very different. I'm really enjoying the author's writing style but it took me several chapters to stop comparing it to the movie and just enjoy the story being told. Recommended read but only if you can tolerate that this will NOT be Will Smith in book form.

The immortals by Tracy Hickman Alot different than the dragon lance novels. Really good read if you like the medical aspect of red man it might be for you. I would describe it as an American concentration camp novel.
