Finally finished I AM NOT SPOCK by Leonard Nimoy.  A pleasant and surprisingly interesting book. I learned a lot about Nimoy's career and approach to acting. Very enjoyable and now I can't wait to read I AM SPOCK, which Nimoy wrote many years later.

I am just about finished with Cinder by Marissa Meyer.  It is a very creative and original retelling of Cinderella...only with cyborgs and moon people and hovercraft.  Some of it has been very predictable, but overall very enjoyable.  The characters are crisp and entertaining and the author has a way of never wasting words....she gets right to the point and doesn't waste sentences to do it, Hemmingway would be quite impressed.

On JP's and Shady's recommendation, I picked up Alden Bell's "The Reapers are the Angels".  I loved this book so much, I took a lunch at work for the first time in a decade just so I could finish the last 100 pages of the book.

Absolutely outstanding zombie novel with characters that stay with you. The character development was outstanding, along with the world building. There are layers of depth that allow the reader to enjoy it for the zombie action or to delve deeper into the metaphysical meaning in world gone mad.

Also I loved two things about this author's writing style - One was that the characters have a cadence to their speech patterns that remind me fondly of Firefly. The author uses the word "marvelment" at one point! The second was that the author effectively conveyed the mental descent into losing oneself. The writing becomes frenetic and disjointed during those brief moments and effectively conveys the mental state of the characters... those moments remind me a lot of reading A Scanner Darkly.

Definitely a good, fast read with a brave, unfliching story. Thank JP and Shady for recommending it!

Finally finishing up "Chasing The Moon" by author A. Lee Martinez which is a American fantasy and science fiction author. Took me a few months to get through this novel because I kept on putting the book off to the side and picked up other novels. Anyways It's a great read and I recommend his work. It's not as bloody as our FDØ but his writing is still worthwhile.

You hooked me like a fish and I couldn't bear to wait until May for mine to arrive, so I've just bought it on kindle too. It says it won't come down till the 12th of April, but I can wait a few days longer......

Nocturnal! Stayed up till 5 am reading it. Woke up and read some more.

I am reading....NOCTURNAL!!  It finally arrived yesterday.  And after I stopped staring at the cover in joy, I opened the book to read.

Nocturnal? Of course. on Ipad.

Just finished the reporter. Fucking great read. Now to start nocturnal. Good times
