What are you reading now, or what do you recommend?

I've seen threads about what we listen to and what movies we watch, but as intelligent of an audience as we have here, I'm guessing the vast majority of us read treeware books too. So how about it? What have you read dozens of times? Why? What was horrid and you threw across the room in disgust? What are you reading now? Besides Contagious. That's a DUH.

I was apprehensive to read something written by the host of one of my favorite shows.  But it is very funny and witty and I love it.

I just got caught up on the Honor Harrington series (A MUST FOR SCIFI LOVERS...EPIC SPACE WAR OPERA)  I am currently trying to get caught up on Raymond Feist's newest books in the Magican series and i havent even started the last release by George RR Martin. (he is a great guy, he signed my stuff on release day)

So far not too shabby, I'm finding it a quick read.  Very interesting, I can't wait to see how it pans out.

Wathced through the TV show season in two days.

Started to read the first book, was instantly hooked and within two weeks read all the five books avilable so far: on job, at home, at night, in the morning, etc.

"Game of Thrones" - "Clash of Kings" - "Storm of Swords" - "Feast for Crows" - "Dance with Dragons".

NB. No dead trees were used for this reading.

Barnes & Noble has a lovely hardbound edition of HP Lovecraft's complete works of fiction. I bought that bad boy and can't wait to get my Cthulu on Smile

I think I have something like it. In the past when I could afford it I collected these hard cover 'library' collections. Poe, Lovecraft, Faulkner, Shakespear, etc. I have a rather small house so any time I can get a giant compilation of a good authors life work, I think it's worth it!? Good reading!

I have to say, i love the barnes and noble author collection books. I have about 10 of them and are well constructed. I recommend them big time, but wait for a few more weeks. They have a big sage on boxsets of about 5 books.

I've been annoyingly busy ... no time to read like I had planned ... did you like it? Is it good? The summary looked promising!

go for a classic author: My friend just got me a collection of William Gibson short stories for my birthday, and they're super sweet. I just read Johnny Mnemonic, which spawned one of several Keanu Reeves movies based off of William Gibson stories.

Patient Zero & Day By Day Armeggedon are 2 of my favorite zombie books! I read a bad review about Patient Zero so I slacked on reading it. Mistake! I like the Joe Ledger books & that is my favorite! I read the Rot & Ruin series was a young adult series so I have been slacking on them too. I have read all three Ledger books and the 5 short stories that link them and give background on Ledger ... Good series and I love the reader!! I may have all if these books so I will give them a chance!! Have you read any of the Pine Deep books?

OK just finished it ... yes I am certain this time. This is totally NOT my genre ... Irish mobster in NYC? BUT the author reveals the story with a perfect pace & character development ... sucking you in & making you wanna know WHAT'S NEXT?!! This book is a good stand alone book but I am happy to see that it's a trilogy. It's sort of almost unbelievable what happens to this guy but it is so detailed and grisly that I fell for it. I recommend it.

I used to have a long commute ... it was usually one CD to work and one CD back home ... then my commute became walking into the other room for 5 years and that gave me more time for actual reading so I was able to purge the GIANT backlog of treeware ... I love unabridged audiobooks, you're hearing the book word for word just as the author wrote it. Of course I love reading too ... buttttt nothing beats a good voice reading a great book if you ask me. (a bad voice/naration can ruin a book) ... ugh I am really far behind here ... and there is a sp@mmer lurking that is distracting meeee.
